PolyColumbus

Board of Directors

Greetings from the PolyColumbus Board of Directors!

The board of directors is the highest governing body of PolyColumbus, setting strategy, policy, and the budget for the organization. We encourage any person meeting our key criteria to nominate themselves for consideration for current or future open seats on the board.

After fourteen years as “the little discussion meeting that could,” we formalized in 2014, including the creation of a board of directors. The current members of our board of directors are:

Karen Hill

Michelle Vaughan, Ph.D., L.P.
Treasurer, Former member of Advisory Board since 2015, Board Member since June 2015

Identifying as a pansexual woman who has been polyamorous for over four years, Michelle Vaughan is a professor of psychology in Ohio and a licensed psychologist. She led several nonprofit organizations on LGBT issues at the University of Akron, the former Akron Pride Center, as well as within the American Psychological Association.

Michelle will be moving to Dayton in the summer of 2016 to join the faculty of the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University to train future psychologists. Her professional and research interests include LGBTQ issues and consensual non-monogamies. She has presented both regionally and nationally on polyamory and other consensual non-monogamies.

Among other subjects, Michelle advises PolyColumbus on the current state of social science research regarding polyamory.
